Charles Karel Bouley: It's Not Maine, It's the Process

People are bigots. Yes, most believe that their opinion is the right one and often refuse to bend on many issues. Maine's repeal of the their same sex marriage law is proof of that. But it's not the bigots in Maine, in California or any other state where they have voted, may vote, or will vote to legalize or repeal same sex marriage laws that gays are denied equal rights fault. It's the cowardly… » Full Story on Huffington Post

So aptly said. It is sad that he is so correct. In this country, that purports itself to be so advanced, women would still be owned, and no one but white males would be allowed to vote or own property without the the voice of a small few shaming the rest into making the right and just choices. Shame on the people of this country. We have men and women across this world fighting beneath the US flag sacraficing their lives for human rights and right here at home twe deny them to so many, shame on us all.

Laura - you should join the Conservative movement where everyone is is treated as an individual. Women, blacks, hispanics all play a major roll, unlike the current Democrat party.

Definition of Bigot... One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

Bouley got some twisted ideals..he is so partial that he thinks we shouldn't even be allowed to vote or express our beliefs...I am not for Same Sex marriage but if it passed I would be tolerant...respecting the law and wishes of the majority. Gays are not denied equality under the law..marriage at the present is defined between a man and a woman and they have the same right we all have...they are asking for additional rights. It's childish and absurd to say anyone who would vote against this are the same people who would stand by and watch during a gang rape. That my friend is a pathetic analogy ...I suggest you study the definition at the top again ...you should see yourself and the hatefulness in your own heart before you attack those with differing views. What happened to TOLERANCE...I suggest you practice what you preach also.

The author is wrong. Not to mention a sandwich short of a picnic. The congress, senate and the president work for US. The 9 justices ONLY determine the Constitutionality of laws. We The People have spoken and dont want their disgustiing lifestyles on main st. Deal with it.
