Senate Unemployment Extension Passes Unanimously After Four Weeks Of GOP Obstruction

WASHINGTON — Recognizing that a weak economy still needs a government boost, the Senate voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to provide the jobless with up to 20 weeks in additional unemployment benefits and expand a first-time homebuyer tax credit to include a far larger pool of people entering the dormant housing market.

98-0..really sounds like "GOP" obstruction..right.
sounds like politicians trying to buy votes with tax dollars.
notice that most of the "stimulus" is to be spent in 2010...tax payer funded elections...that's what's happening..they just "legislate" stimulus money or payback...we're the one's who pay..it's not "Government Money" !
you will note that no affiliation to party was mentioned..or Pres..just sayin..biased article

Oz - nobody pays taxes if they're unemployed. If the Government hadn't stepped in in the 30's the country would have gone Communist, and we'd all be speaking German and Japanese after WWII and Europe would still be a burnt out shell overrun by the Russians. Show us your real face instead of hiding behind a Mask. Government is the lender of Last Resort and because of greedy Republithug business people thats where were at.

notice that your argument falls flat..think before you post...i mentioned no parties...but overly-sensitive people who have their hand out for free crap from the gov like you should remember "It's not government money"..IT'S OUR MONEY...get a job old geeezer...and i'm not hiding..especially from a mentally and historically challenged person such as yourself. the government went progressive and FDR extended the depression..WWII got us out of it..ask any historian...
