Forget the 2-1 Spin; It Was a Conservative Republican Rout

The Democrats did not lose a 2-1 squeaker last night. They lost two huge races, saw an overall evaporation of 25 basis points of support -- and lost by nearly 500,000 cumulative votes in the three high-profile elections. » Full Story on americanthinker.com

Absolutely. Obama got shellacked last night! Smoked!

Hell, he campaigned hard in NY-23, even sent his idiot VP up there, and their hand picked guy almost got beat by someone no one ever heard of until Sarah Palin endorsed him a couple of weeks ago!

Hoffman has the full weight of the White House thrown at him as well as the GOP going at him, and yet Owens barely beat him!

Epic loss for Obama.

Win for Sarah Palin!

The Democrats would have lost all three races if the Acorns and Nancy's Boy Scout would not have interferred! Doug only lost by about 5,000 votes, Acorns were stuffing the box, machines broke down , Ya Right, The Boy Scouts told DeDe she better back Bill if she wants a loan! See Newt, what did you ever let her run on the Republican ticket for?

Obama campaigned multiple times for the Democrap candidates in NJ and Virginia. Clearly, his endorsement is now the KISS OF DEATH.

Democraps will be avoiding him at election time. It will be POLITICAL SUICIDE to have Obama campaign for them.

A very bad night for Democrats. Two smack downs and a narrow win in NY 23 where they should have won by 20. Hoffman was at 18% before Sarah Palin entered and Hoffman lost with 46% of the vote. I can't wait until next year. Owens will be out before he gets his chair warmed up.

No matter how the Dems try to spin it, NY-23 proved the power of Palin. She gave the GOP a firm spanking for supporting an uber-liberal candidate and forced Scozzafava out of the race.

Palin will always choose principles over party. That is what makes her rise above the cesspool of American politics. She's a firm believer in fiscal responsibility, and she proved it in Alaska by cutting the budget 10% and setting up a savings fund for the state.

She'll never throw her support behind any candidate who believes in tax-and-spend.

How can the Democrats spin this as 2:1. They got smashed in Virgina and New Jersey and they should have won by 20 in NY and they barely squeaked it out. In addition it will only be for a year and then Owens will get voted out next year.

Humiliating defeat in Virgina where Obama had been twice and in New Jersey where he had also been twice. The message, don't let Obama campaign for you or you will lose. The conservative movement is on the rise.

As I was watching the election returns last night, I wondered. How will the Democrats spin this disastrous loss to make it look better. They have made some pitiful tries, but they have convinced no one. They are on their way out.

I just saw an article on the "Obama effect". I think that means that wherever he campaigns, the Republicans win. Remember that - "the Obama effect.

A group of NJ voters were interviewed on Fox last night. Many who had voted for Obama said they were angry about all the overspending in Washington. They know it will mean increased taxes for all of us.

That's why these were huge wins in NJ and Virginia. It's a clear sign that the tide is turning against Obama.

What word can I use to describe the elections? Rout, smashed, utterly defeated, quashed, humiliated? Yes all of those words apply.

The independent voters have turned on the Democrats. They are the ones with buyer's remorse because they supported him in 20089 and he has badly disappointed them.

Before Sarah Palin endorsed Doug Hoffman,m he had 18% of the vote. He ended up getting 46% in spite of the Scozzfava shenanagins. I don't know if the Republican party will run him again in 2010, but whoever they run (assuming they do better than Scozzfava) will beat Owens.

Anyone with a brain can see that this country cannot run huge deficits forever. America's credit cards are maxed out. We shouldn't pass a trillion dollar health care bill because we don't have the money to pay for it.

That's why the voters in New Jersey and Virginia got rid of the Dems. We are all worried about the increased taxes that will soon hit our wallets.

I was so pleased to see NJ and VA seeing the dark light of obumdum's shadow and stepping into the Republican light. In NY-23, Owens surely knows he has to walk on eggshells. He had only a small margin of victory, so he knows he is in deep "stuff" if he makes one false move - which he will surely do being a Democrat. It's the only thing they do betting than lying - stepping in big piles of..... trouble.

If it weren't for Sarah and Fox News would anyone even known about Doug Hoffman?

The libtards are toast in 2010.

2012 will be a blood bath for odumbo.

This country WILL fail if keep implementing massive entitlement programs. The national debt is already unsustainable, and the value of the dollar is falling fast. The voters in Virginia and NJ can see this!

“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.” --Thomas Jefferson

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” --Thomas Jefferson

If only the Dems would heed Jefferson rather than Mao Tse-Tung!

Blue dog dems are scared, and they should be! They are actually talking about saving tax payers some money. How humble of them. Guess they are starting to hear us now! Keep listening!

Can you hear us now!!!!

If you give aid and comfort to the enemy combatants Piglosi, Reid, and Obama, you will be held accountable.

We must continue to follow Sarah's lead and stand up for Conservative politicians wherever they are. How many millions of stars are there in the heavenly galaxy waiting to be found? How many hundreds or even thousands of stars are there in the Conservative galaxy waiting to be found? Sarah found one in Hoffman. She - and WE - must find others.

Interesting! I notice today that democrats are starting to talk about common sense. Did blue dog dems get scared straight yesterday? Are they suddenly worried about their political survival? Have they noticed obama is becoming very unpopular, and could not come close to saving Corzine? Could they be realizing that supporting obama's agenda will surely unleash the grim reaper on them in 2010 and 2012!

HA HA HA HA
It is a great day for conservatives.

Thank you Sarah Palin for helping lead the way.

I understand the enthusiasm and believe me I share wholeheartedly in it, but let us not forget what got us into this mess in the first place. Democrats who hated Bush so badly they voted in a cabinet of socialist radicals who in 9 months have nearly destroyed our nation. Please people vote with your minds and not with your emotions. Check and double check before you sign your name to a politician lest we find ourselves with more Olympia Snowejobs.

The train wreck of the piglosi health care debacle must be derailed immediately. Thank you Michelle Bachman for your leadership and impromptu tea party in Washington on Thursday.

There are some formidable women leading the way for conservatives.

The Dems knew that they didn;t have a chance at Va. governor so they tried for Lt governor. If they had won that seat then they would have made up a scandal on McDonnell so he would have to resign. This Chicago Political Machine needs to be watched closely.

Last night was a rout in NJ and VA!
Owens only squeaked out a win in NY state because of Dede Scozzafava's turncoat endorsement.
The Dems are in big trouble. They have lost the independents because of the insane overspending and big govt expansion.
The stimulus is an epic fail. The healthcare takeover will kill more jobs with taxes on the employers.
The Dems better listen to the people if they want to keep their jobs in 2010 and 2012.
