Maybe the western world should TAKE A HINT! It's beyond obvious the people in the middle east don't agree with the western way of life, beliefs and surely not the occupation of their lands. The motive is not clear

Very simple geopolitically. We let Al Qaida take over Afghanistan the allied tribes and Al qaida take over in Pakistan. Pakistan has a couple dozen nukes. These are the same people who managed to hijack 4 U.S. aircraft at once and kill 3,000 people. Hmm, what happens when they get nukes?
I guess you can play the law of averages and hope it isn't your city, or you can try to prevent it from happening. Either we bleed a few thousand of our bravest Americans or we bleed a couple hundred thousand cowards who live in Des Moines or Atlanta and hate the military when a nuke goes off. BTW, when the nuke goes off who are you going to blame? George Bush? Obama? China? Al Qaida?

afghan soliders are being trained by american and nato forces. the fact that there is positive feedback to every comment that made no sense and was an ignorant remark is sad, and it just comes to show how educated people here are on this matter. The war is a sensitive and controversial issue. You can't just come out of no where and degrade muslims or any one else you want to blame. Every time a country such as afghanistan wants to make a real change (ex: afghan elections!!!) some leader from one of the core countries like to make an apperance and completely shut out the person that is trying to make a difference. Hilary Clinton gave her support to karzai and abdulah had no chance cause AMERICA had karzais back. also karzai is the US's puppet in disguise...no wonder he won. I do support the NATO forces because I see them on my side, should anyone invade my country I would like to believe they would be there for my fellow countrymen. At the same time I can´t stop myself from thinking: how are the Talibans in Afghanistan now different from the Resistance in France during WW2?
WTF is NATO doing there? North Atlantic Treaty Organization is what NATO is supposed to stand for, the Atlantic is half an earth away from Afghanistan.
