Democrats say elections won't stop health care (AP)

AP - Far from chastened by off-year election setbacks, congressional Democrats vowed no let-up in the drive to pass controversial health care Wednesday, arguing that the way to regain voter trust was to complete what they started in more prosperous political times. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

The one house candidate that supported healthcare reform, Bill Owens won his race. So why would democrates back off? If anything this should show them that thier base expects something to get done and if it isn't, we won't bother going out to vote.

Obama was elected to fix the economy and grow jobs, not to grow government and change healthcare. His only success to date has been growing the government.

Pushing healthcare will embolden those who believe in gov't control and also conversely it will galvanize the opposition. It seems like a 50/50 split of the country so 150 million + people will be really mad no matter what happens. Insurance company profits are not the cause of the astronomical rise in rates. Medical technology, pharma are the cause of business and consumers paying exhorbitant rates. People want the best technology and treatment. The unintended consequence, and there is always an unintended consequence, I believe will be the collapse of the Private Healthcare Insurance Companies who have been unfairly demonized. People think this sort of thing doesn't deserve to make a profit but that is in fact un-american and counter productive.

Nationalizing healthcare is a death wish for the democrats. Failure to listen to Americans has its toll.

Great. These politicians don't get it.

Yes a majority of the people want some kind of reform in health care but a majority of the people do not want THIS reform.

Just another example of our great politicians not listening to a damned thing we are saying.

What's funny is that 85% of the population have insurance right now. National socialist healthcare will cover another 5%. Basically, 10% of the population will still be "dying in the streets" as they put it.
They love to use the "dying in the streets" phrase to make us feel like mean people if we don't want to trample the Constitution some more.
Maybe Pelosi will offer some profits from her own personal vineyard to help get them medical treatment. Naaah. That would be going to far. Who cares about those people anyway? Right?
Yep. The guilt trip thing isn't working anymore. More and more Americans are actually reading the healthcare bill, studying the Constitution, and figuring out what this is really all about.

Democrats know they are losing votes; they know they will lose election in 2010,this is why they are pushing this bill. But they also know that most Americans don't want this reform in version written by Libtards.
Dems must really hate own country if they want to force something most people oppose.

This goes to show you that they are so pompous they don't care anymore. So many of them think alike that even with elections looming and public support waning they will still pass whatever the hell they want because they don't care what the American people think. They think they know better than us all. Keep them honest America. Its our responsibility as citizens.

These criminals continue to push this train wreck forward when the American people have said that we don't want it, can't afford it and it does nothing to solve the health care problems.
Democraps are solely focused on their party agenda. They don't care about the welfare of the American people. They are not fit to lead this country and have to be driven from office - now!

It is unconstitutional!!! Everything this congress and President are trying to do is illegal and unconstitutional. Read about George Soros and what he did to England. Destroyed the banks. A true maexist that gae millions to the democrats in the 2008 election and is behind much of this.

God I hope so.

With many red state Democrats now worried, there's some talk that they won't DO this ultimate politicide.

Health Care is the GOLDEN CEMENT BLOCK around the National Socialist Democrat Party's neck. When they pass this, they will FOREVER become self-labelled as the party that delivered everything that's wrong with the medical system in the future.

And it will be a stepping stone to undo not only this, but every other Socialist program that wastes taxpayer money.

I really hope they don't get cold feet on this.

Collectively, we must ALL encourage them:
JUMP! JUMP! JUMP!!!

The French nobility weren't listening in 1791, either.
Incumbents should check out what happened to them in 1792.

There is a place called petitiontocongress.com where you can send an email to your congressmen to voice your disapproval for this ridiculous healthcare bill. It is fine and great to rant and rave on here, but make sure your voices are being heard and show others how to do the same.
