So the minorities voted for Obama his empty campaign promises and because they just didn't understand he was going create record debt and push our country into the worst economic times since the great depression and fail at all aspect of international affairs. Iran know they can continue to develop a nuclear weapons program because Obama doesn't understand how to stop them. Did minorities vote for Obama because Obama said a vote for McCain was just a vote for Bush or did they base their decision on race? Obama hasn't accomplished anything positive yet and looks like he never will.

Hopefully these college kids have learned to put some time into finding out what a candidate is all about. Just because he's a good speaker (and most politicians don't write their own speeches) and promises you the moon, doesn't mean he's gonna deliver. Once elected too many of them are in for what they can get out of it and forget about the people that elected them. Need to do your homework, even on this, guys and gals.

sadly the elections yesterday did nothing more than to prove that the presidential race last year was an ethnic race. There was nothing for the people who voted based on color last year; to vote for now. There was no interest and the media did nothing to promote the ethnic backgrounds of the candidates.....

That's what the hold-up on healthcare is - it isn't a good bill - too much pork, stomps on our Constitution and Bill of Rights, is redundant as stuff in it is already in use, will cause more and higher taxes, people will be fined and people who don't have enough income will still have to buy into it or be fined, panel of 6 dubbed 'death panel' will decide your treatment instead of your doc, not a good bill! doesn't say much for dem's as they are the one's writing it - repub's aren't happy with it so are trying to stop it from being passed. The public doesn't want it passed either as we don't want to be fined and want our doc to treat us - not some beaurcrat who gives a rat's ass!

barry's blackberry was working overtime to get him elected - he sent out tons of email to all of the college age kids along with minorities to excite them into voting for him. All they heard was that he was chanting ' change', they didn't take time to look at his record in office in IL, how all he did while in the Senate was run for prez, his affiliation with the mob and ACORN. They were taken in by his rhetoric - as one person stated - he has charisma and charm and can talk the skin off a poison snake w/o it biting him! Just think how much snake oil he could have sold in the 1800's!!! One thing he won't talk about, tho, is where all his $$'s comes from??? He has more than any other prez in US history and that includes the Bushes combined incomes! More 'transparency'....just like his birth certificate, college records, senate records, etc, etc - not available! Kids aren't thinking about that - just hearing what he wants them to hear!!!

Dan - I'm a repub and I'm certainly not playing the 'race' card! My vote is based on what the person stands for, what the person has done, what the person says he/she will do and if it is feasibly possible. If all else fails, I vote for the lesser of the two evils. Neither party is doing very good. Dem's are in control and Wall St fell - wasn't Bush's fault, taking out the reg's gave greed room to grow and it did at leaps and bounds. When there are no checks and balances greed will always pervail. Same in government - not representing the people and just porking away for personal interests and lobbyists is bad. Most young people aren't mature enough to be interested in voting on a regular basis. That's generally a good thing, since they tend to be easily swayed -- and did a lot of damage last year. Many saw voting for the "first Black President" as revolutionary and historical. What a lousy reason to cast a vote!

EVERYONE should watch the 1940's film "The Great McGinty". It shows exactly how Illinois politics works... Back then it was the homeless that were paid to vote... Today ACORN just pulled names out of their bums...

The Great McGinty should be renamed "How Obama Got Elected".
