T-Mobile mops up after another embarrassing outage

First there was last month's Sidekick data outage, and now a good-sized chunk of T-Mobile subscribers are furious after their phones went dead for eight hours Tuesday. Not good. » Full Story on Yahoo! Tech

I was without service for about 6 hours, so what kind of compensation do we get for that? I pay a whoppng 132 a month for 2 lines and the plan stars at 79.99 amonth , but always ends up at 132 with all the fees and taxes... It is ridiculous

I was origionaly a Suncom subscriber, but after the merger earlier last year with T-mobile i had nothing but constent problems from not being able to make calls for several days to not being able to use data to being charged over 1,000 dollers more then what my usage was!!! after my daughters nurse had tried to get ahold of me for over an hour one after noon ( my daughter is a type one diabetic) i decided to leave and go with another company. I can not be haveing my daughters school nurse not be able to get ahold of me in an emergency if her blood glucose is to low or high!!!!

T-Mobile is full of it. I pay an extra 20 bucks a month for the supposed sidekick service. I lost all contacts for weeks only to have them finally restored although the contacts names are there the phone #'s are missing on many contacts. I have had a sidekick since it's inception and lost text on this lastest debacle. T-Mobile is a weak company, I have yet to get my promised refunds for problems. When I pay for service I expect to get what I pay for. These are far from a once in a while problem, I have had problems with the phone not working and have had days of no service. I have 2 other lines that use different phones and they have no problems. The sidekick is not a reliable product and I am sure T-Mobile will be facing a class action lawsuit from sidekick owner's like myself.

I usually don't have a problem with T-Mobile. I have been with them for 9 years. I called to check to see how I would be compensated and I was told I would been given a credit of 5.00. That sucks. However, it's just like anything else, there is always at some point going to be issues. Be careful what you do because if you switch over you may get something worst.

OK, mine was down for 3 hours. Have you ever had a problem with a gadget, auto, appliance or haircut? Sometimes S happens. You learn to live through the life altering problems-- OR-- you run with the Lemmings to another provider that probably has had a problem at one time or another - in the mean time you pay for it (additional new fees, phones, etc.). Buck up and face the day Casper - thats life.

So my phone was down for 5 hours (Orange County, CA) but my phone is my business! I couldnt return calls, or text. Im so fed up with T-Mobile. I stayed with them for the last 7 years because theyre so cheap but what the F! they had so many problems in the last 4 years it's unbelievable! When they we're upgrading the system in '05 voicemails were accessing other customers voicemails (when i called they basically said "hang-up and try again." Even changed a few vm codes and messages. (a-hole move i know). Long story short, everone call and make them issues up a monthly credit. If they don't i urge you all not to renew your contracts.

My T-Mobile account is for my daughter's sidekick. T-Mobile's customer servic sucks. In less than 2 yrs we are on our 6th phone. Various problems. The loaner phones don't do what ours does and with the most recent debacle of over a month I was credited 20 bucks. And they still had the gall to ask if I wanted to re-up for 2 more yrs. HA!

It's kind of sad how we managed to enslave ourselves to cell phones.I mean 30 yrs ago all we had was regular landlines and everything was fine. Who wants to be on call 24hrs a day, that would drive me nuts. At least with a landline if your boss calls you to work and your not there, it's not your fault, but with a cell phone you have no excuse. Well the cell phone companies will keep on charging us more and more each time, until future generations become so numb to paying such high bills with such lousy service. You would think that the more mass produced a product is the cheaper it would get, but just like a those luxury cars that cost 50k and up, that are just status symbols, the more they make the more they want to charge.

Thats great, lives are saved when you were without services. No texting while driving, better phone dead, rather than people dead.

Ever since Suncom was bought out by Tmobile - the service has gone straight downhill - can't wait till my contract is up!

Get used to it kids, in about 3 years we will hit the peak of the Solar Cycle and Solar Storms are going to disrupt EVERYONE'S cell service, possibly for days at a time
